The Graphic & Digital Unit in UNIMAS Publisher serves four key functions namely publication, visual graphic, digital web and multimedia design, and digital photography. Our main responsibility is to ensure we translate authors’ words through a detailed book designing process; which includes the selection of a book’s size, layout formatting, typesetting solution, and determination of typographic details for all parts of the book within production and budget restraints. People may say to not judge a book by its cover but as designers, it is our priority to produce books with a lasting first impression especially when they tend to end up on a shelf with hundreds of similar topics. We work closely with the two units in UNIMAS Publisher and building positive rapport with the authors naturally begin with us. We make the effort to accommodate the authors’ initial suggestion for covers, in other words; we help you to help us.

 

On top of designing books from cover to cover, we also offer • design (design), graphic layout (layout), scanning (scan), including digital multimedia and digital prints • provide advisory services for cover, books, booklets, newsletters, programmes, books, souvenirs, cards, pamphlets, certificates, posters, poster presentation, the scan and the typography (sticker) design • provide advisory services during certain publishing process so that adjustments can be made based on the design format, size, layout and typography and image quality in accordance with the standards required • provide advisory services regarding the use of software applications corresponding to book publications in general • conduct authors/books commercial photo shoot • create opening video/book launch montage. We envisioned ourselves as the key player for e-pub management in the future, hence we highly welcome questions and feedback from the visitors.
